We are the Nation's first Hmong American Women's political action committee.
Maiv PAC is a registered Political Action Committee governed by a volunteer leadership board. We are dedicated to raising funds to endorse and elect state-level candidates running for political office whose values and principles demonstrate a commitment to Hmong women and families' issues:
Economic Security

Healthcare
Who We Are
"Maiv" is an endearing term Hmong give their daughters; hence, the reason why so many women have "Mai" in front of their given names. Pronounced "my," the v is silent but necessary to indicate the correct tone.
Maiv PAC is the first Hmong American women's political action committee in the nation dedicated to raising funds to endorse and elect state level candidates who demonstrate a commitment to building an inclusive democracy that works well for all women and their communities. In addition to endorsing candidate, we aim to increase public knowledge about the importance of immigrant women's votes in 2016 and beyond.
Maiv PAC focuses on mobilizing Hmong American women to support candidates who care about our issues in State election cycles. Hmong Americans make up the largest Asian American population in Minnesota. With just over 50% of the Hmong American population being women, we believe our impact will make a difference for candidates in key races.
Our Mission
Maiv PAC is a political action committee dedicated to the political education and engagement of Hmong American women to elect candidates that demonstrate a commitment to an inclusive, participatory democracy.

Our Beliefs
–
When Women Act, We Move Mountains
Behind every major Hmong American political campaign success in Minnesota elections have been Hmong women. Serving as campaign managers, volunteer coordinators, fundraisers, door knockers, canvassers and so on — Hmong women have been the engineers of every win, and in fact were the first to win.
When Women are Well, Communities Do Better
We believe that the well-being of women and children indicate how well our whole communities are doing. Women have worked hard and we need committed leadership from our elected officials to do more to ensure the lives of women and children drive their decisions.
Leveraging Our Assets
We recognize that our mission and goals are not different from that of many other women, but it makes a difference that we are building on our assets and starting from our place of strength. We will leverage our relationships, our funds, our skills and our voice to make sure that we elect candidates that want to advance our issues.
